strange, I've never, ever heard that question asked, in a considerable number of judicial committee meetings

has anyone noticed lately the emphasis on elders..
by surferdude inin particular it seems like every wt for the past year or so has a section or a paragraph pumping up the elders.
or talking about them being "gifts in men"?
or like the part on the service meeting this week, interviewing an elder and making him seem better or different from the rest of the cong.

Any good HR guy would ask whose responsibility is it that they are untrained.

The Reinstatement Process & How It Works
by minimus inpreviously, we considered what might go on at a judicial meeting.now, let's see what the reinstatement process entails.
let's use the example of fornication.
you have been disfellowshipped for this sin and now you want to seek reinstatement.

Typically, if you reinstate someone in less than six months you get a nasty letter asking why you disfellowshipped them in the first place.

Are You In Support Of Starting A War In Iraq ?
by minimus init looks inevitable.
do you think this is more a carry over from president pappy bush's not getting the job done while he was in office?
do you think the usa and it's allies can fight multiple wars??

There's plenty of evidence of Iraq's WMD. When the inspectors left in 98 they knew about tons of chemical and biological weapons, they're supposed to be there now to determine how Iraq disposed of that stuff, of course Iraq is denying the existence of these weapons but they're not showing anything about what they did with it.
There's only one way to deal with Sadam and that's with force, nothing else will work. He is not a reasonable man, he makes bad decisions, and he has no where to go.
The UN is useless as usual and the Germans and French are acting completely out of their own self-interest. Iraq owes France in particular billions of dollars, guess what they're worried about.

Aztec, I've been sliding down snowy hills so unable to respond. I apologize profusely for not recognizing the fairer sex and withdraw the moron remark. I'll reserve that for Reborn who clearly can't understand English and has no understanding of mathmatics what-so-ever. You buy 'em books and buy 'em books and all they do is chew the covers off.

Were You Ever a Member of the Secret Police?
by Swan ina lot of experiences have been written about elders spying on people, tailing them in cars, etc.
i think this may have once happened to me, but am not sure if my intuition was correct or if my mind was just playing tricks.
i sometimes have some paranoia as a result of the trauma of being in the jws, so i am not sure what to believe.

I think a few nut cases got involved in this kind of "secret police" stuff but it was pretty rare in the past, and even rarer now. ( One of these guys got a gun stuck in his face which ended his interest in the whole James Bond thing.) Most reports of this kind of thing are based on pure paranoia.
I do know of one case in which elders were asked to do this kind of thing and they told the individual doing the asking to go hire a private detective if they really wanted to go that far.

SUV'S Owners Support Terrorists!
by pettygrudger inyep, new campaign ad's on tv basically links the owning of an suv to the need for lots of gas, to that money going to countries that supply that gas, to the terrorists who get funding from those same countries.. so, based on this - what kind of car do you drive?
do you think that we american's have a moral or ethical responsibility to self-reduce our need for oil, and reduce just in general all the "materialistic" things in life to which we feel entitled?.
i drive a geo prizm - 35 mpg - because of our environment (and plus i'm just a cheap ass!

Arianna Huffington is, and has been for years, a complete lunatic. Don't know how she stays in the public eye. Guess all it takes is money.
They'll take my urban assault vehicle when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers!

"I suppose it's time to forgive the guy and give him another chance."
If you really meant that then you wouldn't have brought it up at all would you. Why so devious?

Isn't it interesting how the moronic mouths of Aztec and Reborn2002 have gone silent?
